Not a pleasant to news to hear, Borderlands 3 will be using the Denuvo Anti-Tamper Tech, a technology used to prevent coders from cracking the video game. This has come via an official update on the Epic Games Store, more precisely the game’s description.

Borderlands 3 will be using Denuvo’s Anti Tamper technology to prevent super fast cracks. Since the moment of the hearing, similar to what others believe is right about the technology, is that smushes a good portion of the game’s performance. A cause that may ruin the gameplay experience for everyone.

2K Games couldn’t have done anything else but adopting the technology to secure their product from experienced coders that know to utilize their skills to break the code and make the game available to the public.

It is believed that Denuvo’s Anti-Tamper tech will deform the beauty of the world of Pandora, and will disarm the necessity of entertaining gameplay due to the crush in performance. It is somewhat common to see performance crumbling down in these kinds of games.

The most powerful gaming rigs in the world will surely be able to play the game, but what about those that come at the minimum of the listed specifications? Will they be able to enjoy the game at its full potential?

Anyhow, some developers have decided to remove the Denuvo Anti-Tamper Technology a couple of months after appearing on the market. With that being said, the removal of this tech will probably be equal to the period of cracking. Otherwise, there won’t be any reason why 2K games should opt-out of it.
