Boaster Can Seek 2027 Offers While Talks With Fnatic Continue

Fnatic said roster changes were needed after the team missed every international VALORANT event in 2026, but Boaster has not announced a departure.

Boaster has permission to speak with other teams for the 2027 VCT season, but he is still in talks with Fnatic. The in-game leader said on September 8, 2026, that he remains motivated to compete in the role and is open to offers from every region, with EMEA and China receiving special mention.

After five years with Fnatic, Boaster’s update stops short of announcing a departure. He is the only player from the organization who has publicly confirmed that he is seeking offers, leaving his next move unresolved as the offseason begins.

Fnatic’s own offseason update points to a wider roster rebuild. Following an end-of-season review, the organization said changes were needed and gave some players permission to consider opportunities with other teams. The contracts of Boaster, Austin ‘crashies’ Roberts, Emir ‘Alfajer’ Beder, and Sylvain ‘Veqaj’ Pattyn all expire this year.

Fnatic’s 2027 roster decisions come after a rough season

Fnatic qualified for every international event in 2025 and reached the VALORANT Champions final. The team then missed every international event in 2026, creating a much different backdrop for its plans ahead of the next VCT season.

Questions around crashies were already present before Boaster’s latest update. An earlier farewell-style message from Boaster suggested that crashies could leave, although it did not confirm a transfer. Veqaj has also indicated that he intends to return to competitive VALORANT after missing time because of health issues, while Kirill ‘Cloud’ Nekhozhin joined Fnatic on a three-year contract in June.

Riot’s first VCT 2027 Open Qualifiers are scheduled to begin in November, giving Fnatic limited time to settle its roster plans before the new season gets underway. Boaster could remain with the organization if talks continue, or accept an offer from EMEA, China, or another region. No new team has been announced.
