A year after its launch, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt, the standout battle royale game developed by Sharkmob, has announced the end of its further development. Despite the unexpected announcement, developers have assured players that the game’s servers will continue to operate, maintaining its availability for its active community.

The developers expressed gratitude to the engaged Bloodhunt community. They acknowledged the title’s unique standing in the famous Battle Royale genre, being a game that is easy to learn but challenging to master, offering an immersive experience to players.

However, they also recognized the game’s difficulties, failing to reach the critical mass needed to sustain its development. This led to the hard decision to halt the further development of Bloodhunt. The announcement is a surprise, especially considering the game’s popularity among a niche community of players.

While the development may have stopped, the team has clarified that the game’s servers will remain active for as long as there is an engaged player base. This is good news for fans who wish to continue experiencing the unique battle royale title. They also announced plans to implement an in-game player voting system to keep the game fresh and exciting by regularly unlocking new content. More details about this system will be disclosed closer to releasing the final planned patch for the game.

In addition to these changes, the developers plan to turn off actual currency purchasing by September 26. However, to ensure players can still unlock cosmetics and enhance their gaming experience, they will increase the ease of earning in-game tokens.
