Blizzard has released a CGI teaser for the upcoming Midnight expansion, which will be officially revealed at Gamescom 2025 on August 19. This glimpse offers a peek at some key characters and features, including the much-discussed player housing system.
You can watch the teaser here:
The short clip opens with a neighborhood rendered in CGI, which seems to highlight the player housing feature many have been waiting for. That’s a big deal, since player housing has been a frequent request from the WoW community for a long time. It’s kinda interesting to see it finally teased.
The teaser also features Lor’themar and Xal’atath. It looks like Xal’atath has returned for his kingdom in Midnight, and things definitely don’t seem peaceful. Yikes, what could that mean for the story?
Guess Blizzard wants to keep us on our toes. Will the player housing be a central part of the expansion or just a side feature? And how will these characters influence the new storyline? It’s all up in the air for now, but the teaser has got people talking.
More details will come out at Gamescom 2025, so I’m curious to see what Blizzard reveals then. Meanwhile, this teaser sets the stage nicely and gives a hint of what’s to come.
