Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will begin its first official season on December 4 and Activision says this rollout will be the “biggest first season” of content for the franchise so far. The preview covers fresh multiplayer maps and modes, a new round-based Zombies map, Warzone additions, a loaded Battle Pass, and more Endgame content already live for players.
Players should note that parts of Endgame went live earlier. Endgame and the Avalon map have been accessible since November 21, and Activision teases a steady drip of World Events, new Skills, and holiday content across the season.

Multiplayer
- At launch players will get at least three brand new maps named Fate, Utopia, and Odysseus plus a remaster of Standoff. A Sleighjacked map variant is planned just before CODMAS.
- Party Modes return with favorites like Prop Hunt, Sticks & Stones, Sharpshooter, One in the Chamber, and Gun Game.
- A new scorestreak called the Deadeye Drone joins the arsenal. It is an aerial drone with a sniper rifle and two Overclock abilities to customise its payload.
Endgame
- Endgame is open and the Avalon map is available to all Black Ops 7 players as of November 21.
- New World Events will appear across Avalon including a giant Zombies-inspired robot, neurotoxin hallucination encounters, and a Mid-Season VTOL event tied to fear-based mechanics.
- Eight new Exotic Skills arrive by completing World Events with options like a lethal melee punch, self-resurrection, and high critical damage effects, and a Phantom Skill Track unlocks in Mid-Season.
- CODMAS arrives in Endgame bringing snowballs and giftwrapped Supply Boxes to the map.
Warzone
- Season 01 integrates Black Ops 7 changes to movement, Loadouts, Perks, and Equipment across Warzone.
- A new Resurgence map called Haven’s Hollow debuts. It is set in the Appalachian Mountains and brings classic American small town locations.
- Verdansk gets refreshed points of interest including a Signal Station with an interactive element that can reward squads with valuable enemy sightings, plus a remastered Factory returning from Verdansk ’84.
- Season modes will include Battle Royale and Resurgence offerings and a special CODMAS limited time mode scheduled for the holiday window.
Zombies
- A new round-based map called Astra Malorum sends players to a mysterious observatory where they will hunt another Shadowsmith and face the O.S.C.A.R. Elite robot while wielding the new LGM-1 Wonder Weapon.
- New gameplay includes the Exit 115 Survival map, Directed mode for a guided Main Quest experience in Ashes of the Damned, and a Cursed mode for Astra Malorum to raise the difficulty.
- The returning perk Mule Kick lets players carry a third Primary Weapon and gains new benefits through Major and Minor Augments.
- Two new GobbleGums are added along with Equipment and Support returning from Black Ops 6, and Crafting Table construction arrives in Mid-Season.
- A 30-player leaderboard event on Astra Malorum will offer Camo and GobbleGum rewards and more.
According to Activision the publisher believes this Season 01 delivers the largest volume of content for a first season in Call of Duty history, and the schedule spreads content across launch and Mid-Season drops.
