Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone will launch Season 05 on July 23 at 9:00 a.m. PT. Activision’s official Season 05 breakdown confirms a new Battle Pass centered on the mysterious Spectre Operator, two free weapons, a large BlackCell reward track, and several Store Bundles.
The season’s Battle Pass contains more than 100 rewards, including Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Finishing Moves, Emotes, COD Points, GobbleGums, Calling Cards, and other cosmetic items. The premium pass costs 1,100 COD Points, while the Battle Pass Bundle costs 2,400 COD Points and includes 20 Tier Skips.
Players who purchase the premium Battle Pass or BlackCell will immediately unlock the new Spectre Operator, a 10% Battle Pass XP Boost, the “Dawn Shred” Legendary Blueprint for the Voyak KT-3 Assault Rifle, the “Swift Talent” Emote, and the “Make an Entrance” Animated Calling Card.
BlackCell Adds Cipher and Extra Rewards
BlackCell’s main attraction is Cipher, an augmented Operator created through a black-budget project involving condemned inmates and advanced combat systems. Cipher escaped during an uprising and now works with a mercenary team that includes DoxBit, Trace, and Hex. Those allies can be unlocked through in-game challenges as part of the BlackCell: Cipher Collection.
The BlackCell Instant Rewards Page includes Cipher, three additional Cipher Skins earned through challenges, the “Vindex” Mastercraft Blueprint for the Sturmwolf 45 SMG, the “Riddlefang” Knife Blueprint, 1,100 COD Points, the “Meat Grinder” Finishing Move, the “Phobia” Weapon Charm, the “BlackCell No. 5” HUD Theme, a BlackCell Clan Tag, and a 10% XP Loyalty Boost.
BlackCell owners can also work through seven exclusive Operator Skins. The list includes “Spectre” and “Viscera” Skins for Spectre, “General Chaos” for T.E.D.D., “In Flight” for Anderson, “Corrosive Fury” for Dempsey, “Fester” for Richtofen, and “Siege Machine” for Reaper EWR-3.
The track also contains seven exclusive Weapon Blueprints: “Sonic Plate” for the CBRS-3 SMG, “Dead End” for the Hawker HX Sniper Rifle, “Breakaway” for the MK35 ISR Assault Rifle, “Coercion” for the SG-12 Shotgun, “Adoptosis” for the Gremlin SMG, “Dead Flip” for the VST SMG, and “Odium” for the FG42 Assault Rifle.
BlackCell buyers gain access to a separate camo track with the Primacy, Caustics, Scarlet, Aurelian, Ornate, and Tessellation Animated Universal Weapon Camos. They also receive extra Daily Challenges for Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
Anyone who upgrades after buying the regular Battle Pass will receive 1,100 COD Points back. Players who purchased Season 04 BlackCell and purchase Season 05 BlackCell will activate a permanent 10% XP and Weapon XP bonus in Black Ops 7. Buying BlackCell across all five seasons can raise that bonus to 50%.
Two Free Weapons Arrive With the Pass
All players can unlock two new Base Weapons for free by completing their Battle Pass Pages. The FG42 Assault Rifle appears as the Page 3 Completion Reward, while the Gremlin SMG is the Page 6 Completion Reward.
The FG42 is a full-auto assault rifle with 37 levels, a 30-round magazine, and low recoil. Its MFS Ambilateral Stock Prestige Attachment improves recoil control while reducing handling and mobility.
The Gremlin is a dual-wield SMG with 47 levels and 26-round magazines. It focuses on mobility, handling, and close-range damage, with a high hip-fire accuracy rating. Its 9″ MFS Cestus Barrel can improve movement speed and allows a single melee attack to eliminate an enemy.
Season 05 also includes more than 20 Weapon Blueprints across the regular and BlackCell tracks. Other featured rewards include the “Dawn Shred” Voyak KT-3, “Dredger” Akita Shotgun, “Hot LZ” 1911 Pistol, “Bad Altitude” REV-46, “Claw Back” VX Compact, “Vindicator” KRS-7.62, “System Shred” Strider 300, “Organic Panic” GDL Havoc Special, “Neo Reverb” AN-94, and “Fission Core” Carbon 57.
More Operator Skins Across the Battle Pass
The regular Battle Pass includes themed Skins for several Operators. T.E.D.D. receives “General Chaos,” Samuels gets “Handyman,” Anderson gets “In Flight,” Dempsey gets “Corrosive Fury,” Vermaak gets “Heavy Engineer,” Grimm gets “Cobalt Guard,” Richtofen gets “Fester,” Reaper EWR-3 gets “Siege Machine,” and Wei Lin gets “Beast Mechanic.” Several of these also have BlackCell variants.
Completing every Battle Pass Page unlocks the Completion Page. Its rewards include the “Viscera” Ultra Skin for Spectre, the “Fission Core” Legendary Carbon 57 SMG Blueprint, 200 COD Points, the “Thousand Cuts” Animated Calling Card, the “Strive” Animated Emblem, and one “Gift Card” Ultra GobbleGum.
Season 05 Store Bundles
The Store will feature several new Bundles throughout the season. Mastercraft Blueprints include custom animations and weapon inspections, while Reactive Blueprints gain stronger visual effects as players eliminate enemies. Both types retain their signature appearance when players change certain attachments.
Tracer Pack: Sand Sovereign Bundle
This desert-themed Bundle includes the “Mirage” Kagan Operator Skin, the “Sandstorm” VST SMG Blueprint, the “Desert Piercer” Strider 300 Sniper Rifle Blueprint, the “Seen Enough” Emote, the “True Way” Animated Weapon Charm, the “Swarmed” Animated Calling Card, the “Sand Marauder” Weapon Sticker, and a one-hour Double XP Token.
Tracer Pack: Sentry’s Watch Mastercraft Ultra Skin Bundle
The Bundle features the “Youxia” Wei Lin Operator Skin and the “Arcforge” Mammoth LMG Mastercraft Blueprint. It also includes the “Blue Dragon” VST SMG Blueprint, the “Dragon’s Signal” Emote, the “Cumulus” Reticle, the “Big Bad Ballista” Weapon Charm, the “Dragon Lord” Animated Calling Card, the “Eternal Warrior” Weapon Sticker, and a one-hour Double Weapon XP Token.
Tracer Pack: Un-Synced Mastercraft Ultra Skin Bundle
Players receive the “Phasetorn” Vermaak Operator Skin with three head variants, along with the “Resync” FG42 Mastercraft Blueprint, “Shatter Lock” Sturmwolf 45 SMG Blueprint, and “No Return” Velox 5.7 Pistol Blueprint. Modern Warfare 4 Pre-Order Camo Bonus
Players who pre-order or pre-purchase the Digital Standard or Vault Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will receive the Gilded Pearl Weapon Camo Pack in Black Ops 7. The pack includes the Moonlit Pearl Universal Camo and a Gilded Pearl Camo Pack Challenge, which goes live on July 23 at 12:00 p.m. PT.
The challenge requires 5,000 Skull Score across Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. The first 100,000 players to finish it will receive a serialized version of the Gilded Ruin Universal Camo. Endgame eliminations award five Skull Score, Multiplayer eliminations award 10, Zombies eliminations award one, and Warzone eliminations award 30.
