Battlestate Games is Upgrading Escape From Tarkov’s Backend Servers To More Powerful Ones

The most recent sensation in the gaming industry, Escape From Tarkov, has become a victim of its success. The numbers in popularity have simply sky-rocketed shortly after the Twitch Drops event finished, making Tarkov’s servers overload and perform poorly. This problem has continued over the past couple of days, causing substantial in-game delays, even in the slightest inventory management.

Queue times have become a lot longer, server crashes more frequent, and lots of other issues that are caused by the massive amount of players that have joined one of the best tactical first-person shooter video games and communities in general. Hopping onto the EFT bandwagon has undoubtedly caused a lot of problems for Battlestate Games.

However, like many other difficulties encountered before, Battlestate Games has finally decided to counter the issue by upgrading the backend servers to more powerful ones. The first update of the situation was posted on BSG’s official Twitter Profile, in which BSG states the migration has begun.

Battlestate Games has also warned of possible lags and error spikes during the maintenance period. However, this phenomenon should mitigate the server issues encountered in the past couple of days, and give room for even more players to hop onto the EFT bandwagon.

I've spent half of my life playing video games, ever since the competitive 1.6 era. Now I am happily married to Margarita Kicevski, and have two beautiful children. My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
