Battlestate Games Listens: Tarkov Players Get Hope for Fixes

Have you been feeling the weight of those pesky bugs and performance hiccups in Escape from Tarkov? You’re not alone! Battlestate Games has rolled out a survey to gather feedback, and it looks like they’re ready to take action on some key challenges that have been bothering players since the last wipe.

The developers shared that they’ll soon reveal the survey results, but right now, they’ve committed to actively working on solutions. Seeing a game studio paying attention to its community is refreshing, especially when things get rough!

Big Promises

In a recent social media post, Battlestate Games laid out what players can expect in terms of upcoming updates. They mentioned several technical fixes aimed at addressing:

  • Fixes for issues causing FPS drops and stuttering on various locations
  • Complete sound loss during raids
  • Incorrect sound playback indoors
  • Problems loading into raids as a Scav
  • Interactions with the Lightkeeper affected by incorrect spawn points
  • Invisible bot spawns in raids
  • Certain fog effects needing visual adjustments
  • Item availability issues with trader quests
  • Empty crafts in the “Cultist Circle” module of the Hideout
  • Client freezing when posting offers on flea market items found via “Linked Search” function
  • A new graphics settings parameter: “Disable frame limit in-game when Nvidia Reflex is turned off”
  • The Cyclone “Shahin” 3.7x thermal scope not functioning correctly.

The community jumped right into action, suggesting even more changes. Ideas included fresh spawn spots and loot routes on maps, deeper mechanics for the Hideout, and extra features for PvE beyond what’s available offline. Fans are eager for improvements!

No doubt about it, despite its current hurdles, Escape from Tarkov remains a top contender among extraction shooters globally. As usual, there will be fluctuations, some players may drift away temporarily for other games, but trust me when that next wipe rolls around? They’ll be back with their gear ready.
