Battlefield 6 Update on October 13 Increases Rush Tickets, Nerfs Shotguns

EA deployed a server-side Battlefield 6 update on October 13 that adjusts Rush ticket counts and weapon tuning. There is no client download: changes take effect the next time players connect to the game servers. This update does not address the known issues DICE listed at launch.

Battlefield 6 New Update Adds Rush Fixes and Weapon Adjustments

Here are the complete changes in today’s Battlefield 6 backend update:

  • Increased ticket count for some maps in Rush to the intended 100 (previously 75).
  • Reduced the muzzle velocity of the M2010 ESR from 900 m/s to 800 m/s.
  • Reduced the muzzle velocity of the PSR from 750 m/s to 720 m/s.
  • Shotgun projectiles now account for drag.

This is a small backend tweak rather than a full client patch. For comparison, the Day One client patch on October 10 was a much larger update with over 200 changes to movement, weapons, maps, and audio. Have thoughts on how these tuning changes affect play?
