DICE has pushed a server-side update that makes ranking weapons and players faster in Battlefield 6. An earlier report on the planned progression buffs documented the intent, and the changes are now live across platforms. No client download is required; players will see the new rates once they connect to the game servers.
The studio summarized the core changes on X, and players should notice quicker unlocks and easier assignment progress. DICE’s post lists several adjustments that affect match XP, daily challenges, and the early attachment ranks.
- Match Completion XP per min increased by 10%
- XP from Daily Challenges increased by 40%
- The XP needed to unlock the first 20 Attachment Ranks has been reduced
- Assignments that required Career Ranks 20, 23, and 26 to begin now require Career Ranks 10, 15, and 20, respectively
Players should note that weapon progression UI can display incorrectly for weapons already in progress; the display updates after playing a match with that weapon. DICE also flagged that Portal updates are scheduled for a later update. There are separate changes related to weapon bloom and hit registration that players are tracking, reported on those tuning efforts, and on outstanding bugs the studio is still working through.
