Battlefield Studios is lining up Battlefield 6 Season 4, and the clearest date floating around points to July 21. Electronic Arts has not officially pinned down the day yet, but the July launch window has been in place for a while, and recent datamining chatter lines up with that timing.
The headline feature is naval warfare. In a June 4 EA blog post, Battlefield Studios laid out a Season 4 plan built around water-heavy combat, with Tsuru Reef and a reworked Wake Island leading the update. The studio described Tsuru Reef as a wide oceanfront battlefield with island terrain, beach assaults, open water, and room for boats, aircraft, armor, and infantry pressure.
Wake Island is also coming back in a new form for Battlefield 6, but the team said it still wants the map to feel like Wake Island. That should matter to longtime players who know how often the series has leaned on that location. Season 4 is also due to add custom lobbies, a spectator mode, new weapons, new modes, and proximity chat.
Battlefield Studios has also said Season 5 will bring more maps, a server browser, and Platoons, the franchise’s clan-style system. If July 21 holds, Season 4 would serve as the bridge between the current roadmap and the next wave of Battlefield 6 additions.
