Battlefield 6 Season 1 will arrive as a free update on Tuesday, October 28, and it’s split into three acts that stagger new content across late October, November, and December. This matters because the season adds maps, weapons, vehicles, and two new modes, but EA’s battle royale mode is not listed in the Season 1 roadmap so that it won’t be part of the initial seasonal rollout.
Season 1 does not arrive on the Battlefield 6 release date. Instead, it kicks off on Tuesday, October 28, with the Rogue Ops act, followed by California Resistance on Tuesday, November 18, and Winter Offensive on Tuesday, December 9. That means a fresh chunk of content roughly every three weeks. Map-wise, two additions are confirmed. Blackwell Fields lands on day one with Rogue Ops, and Eastwood arrives during the California Resistance Act. Winter Offensive introduces a visual update to Empire State, transforming the New York map into a snowy landscape.
Weapons and gear are getting additions, too. Expect several new guns across the season, including the Mini Scout sniper, a lightweight bolt-action for Recon players who want to get into the fight instead of hanging back. New attachments and vehicles are on the way, and the Battle Pickups feature returns during California Resistance, offering powerful weapons with limited ammo.
Two new modes are confirmed: Strikepoint, a small-scale 4v4 round-based mode with no respawns where teams fight over an objective, and Sabotage, an 8v8 mode where attackers try to blow objectives while defenders stop them, then swap sides to see who scores higher. Battlefield 6 Season 1 begins on Tuesday, October 28, and will be a free update for all players. You can read the full blog post announcing the new content on the EA site.
