Battlefield 6 system requirements have finally landed, and guess what? You probably won’t have to toss out your current PC to jump into the action. That’s a relief for anyone worried about their setup being ancient news.
I wasn’t hyped about Battlefield 6 at first, thinking my old PC might choke on it. But nope, the minimum specs are pretty chill, and the recommended ones don’t ask for a monster machine either.
If you’re running something like a six-year-old RTX 2060 paired with an i5-8400 and have at least 16GB RAM (which you kinda need these days anyway), EA says you’ll be able to play. Now, the recommended specs? They’re an RTX 3060Ti or RX 6700-XT with an i7-10700 or Ryzen 7 3700X. Not exactly pocket change, but still accessible for a lot of folks.
Storage-wise, it’s not too greedy either: 55GB minimum, 80GB max. That gap might mean you can install the multiplayer, campaign, and Battlefield Portal separately, but EA hasn’t confirmed that yet.
Wondering about Steam Deck? Well, no dedicated support there, probably because EA’s anti-cheat system won’t get along with SteamOS. But if you’ve got a Windows handheld, you should be fine.

So, what do you think? Is your PC ready to drop into Battlefield 6, or are you eyeing an upgrade? I’m kinda surprised how reasonable these specs are, makes me wonder if the game will really push visuals or keep things balanced. Either way, it’s nice not to have to stress over a new rig just yet.
