Battlefield 6 is almost here, and EA just revealed a bunch of multiplayer modes that promise to keep players busy. The game is releasing on October 10 and will launch with 9 maps, with more to follow, plus new events to spice things up.
So, what modes can you expect? Here’s the complete list of confirmed game modes, with some quick info on each.
All Battlefield 6 Confirmed Game Modes
Conquest
This is the classic Battlefield mode. Big maps, multiple control points, and teams fight to drain the other side’s reinforcement tickets or have more tickets left when time runs out. It’s the mode that’s been a series staple forever.
Breakthrough
Maps are split into sectors. Attackers try to take all points in a sector to push forward, while defenders hold the line. Defenders win if they kill off all attacker tickets and stop the push.
Rush
Similar to Breakthrough, but the attacking team focuses on destroying objectives while defenders try to protect them and run out the attacker’s tickets.
Team Deathmatch
Two teams duke it out, preparing for the highest kill count. The first to hit the target score wins. Simple, but always a blast.
Squad Deathmatch
Like Team Deathmatch, but with four teams instead of two. More chaos, more action.
King of the Hill
Two teams fight over an objective zone, earning points for holding it. The zone might stay put or move around depending on the map. Ends when a team hits the score limit or time runs out.
Escalation
This is new for Battlefield 6. Two teams battle to capture strategic points, leading up to a big final fight to decide the winner.
Battle Royale
Battlefield’s take on the popular last-man-standing mode. It’s free-to-play and includes a traditional version plus a mysterious Gauntlet mode, details on that are still under wraps.
