Battlefield 6 is set to arrive on October 10, and it appears that console players will need to spend $80 to get their hands on it. According to a dataminer known as billbil-kun, who has a decent track record for uncovering game details early, this is the price for the upcoming shooter. There’s also talk of a beta scheduled for August, which might give players a chance to try the game before release.
One aspect that may raise suspicions is the price. The report suggests that the standard edition will cost €69.99 on PC, but for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X, the price increases to €79.99, which likely translates to approximately $80 in the US. There’s also a Phantom Edition planned, which comes with some extra in-game content. That edition is expected to be €99.99 on PC and €109.00 on consoles.
Two editions, then: standard and Phantom. The latter sounds like it might offer some interesting bonuses, but the price difference is notable.
Do you think $80 is a fair price for Battlefield 6 on consoles?
