Battlefield 6, developed by DICE and published by EA, has a leaked gameplay clip showing a returning mud buildup feature on weapons. The clip surfaced from a Battlefield Labs session and was shared on the r/Battlefield subreddit, prompting fresh discussion about visual and mechanical effects.
A short clip posted on Battlefield‘s Reddit shows a weapon becoming heavily coated as debris falls while a player hides under ruins. The OP also posted a before-and-after image that makes the effect clear. The clip, sourced from a Battlefield Labs session, shows debris coating a weapon while the player shelters beneath ruins as enemy fire kicks up dirt and mud onto the gun. Players noted that blood splatter is visible on guns when the player is hit.
Like BF1 mud and dirt accumulate on our weapons again.

Many players will remember that mud buildup was absent from Battlefield 2042, and some suggested that complete coverage could cause guns to jam. Recent CPG coverage also showed Mirak Valley gameplay.
