Battlefield 6 Free Trial Brings Top Gun Carrier Battles Through August 25
The limited-time window includes six modes, Tsuru Reef, and the return of Wake Island.

Battlefield 6 is offering a limited free trial from August 18 through August 25, giving players access to six modes, the Top Gun: Carrier Strike event, Tsuru Reef, and the returning Wake Island. The Steam announcement confirms that the trial can be played once per EA account.
Tsuru Reef serves as the trial’s largest battlefield, with a sprawling island chain packed with tropical vegetation, luxury bungalows, and steep cliff edges. The surrounding ocean also opens the door to naval combat, while land and air vehicles let squads attack from multiple directions. The map supports all modes included in the trial.
Wake Island is back as well, bringing players to an isolated Pacific setting first introduced in Battlefield 1942. Shoreline defenses, bunker demolition with C-4, and an offshore aircraft carrier all add different ways to approach the coastal battlefield.
Top Gun: Carrier Strike puts squads against an enemy carrier
The star attraction is Top Gun: Carrier Strike, a multi-front mode that sends squads after the opposing team’s carrier. Conquest is also part of the trial, giving players access to the series’ familiar mix of tanks, jets, and attack helicopters.
The free trial is part of the Update 1.4.2.0 rollout, which brings the Top Gun content and Wake Island’s return to Battlefield 6. Access requires Battlefield REDSEC on the applicable platform, all game updates, an internet connection, and an EA account. The trial period may change, according to the announcement.
