Battlefield 2042 might not support Nvidia Ray Tracing at launch

Battlefield 2042 will receive the beloved Nvidia DLSS and Reflex technologies but will skip Nvidia’s Ray Tracing sensation. This action will be considered a massive step down considering RTX is already present in Battlefield 5. Nvidia’s Ray Tracing graphics rendering offers the best visuals leading to deep, living, and breathing shadows. Even if it’s considered for a huge visual enhancement, the technology is not favorited by players in competitive shooter games due to its impact on performance. The latest info posted by Nvidia is a bit confusing, but it seems that Battlefield 2042 will skip on getting Ray Tracing support, at least at launch.

At least at launch, Battlefield 2042 won’t include a Ray Tracing technology. Even if Nvidia didn’t make a mistake in their recent Battlefield 2042 article, it’s hard to believe that it will circumvent the integration of the already present RTX capability in Battlefield 5.

Battlefield 2042 is the next most anticipated shooter game coming from EA Dice, and it very vital to be shipped with all the requirements. In that case, they will alleviate any potential player outcry. According to the official Nvidia statement from two days ago, Battlefield 2042 will have the following Nvidia technologies.

Battlefield 2042: Enhanced With NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex. And Now, Bundled With GeForce RTX Desktops and Laptops.

Even though the following image posted in the most recent Gamescom 2021 article made by Nvidia contains Battlefield 2042 as an RTX candidate, the text itself doesn’t mention that it would be available. The best assumption anyone could make is that yes, it’s coming, but not at launch. But if you’re asking me, then Nvidia’s DLSS and Reflex for a performance boost is more than enough in a large-scale, destructive and turbulent battle.

Hopefully, Nvidia will clarify the situation and give a concise answer regarding the Ray Tracing feature in Battlefield 2042. So, will there be one or not? Don’t be shy to give us your opinions on the matter.
