Battlefield 2042 matchmaking finally works, reaches fully playable state months after launch

Battlefield 2042, EA first-person shooter game we had been waiting for years after its release back in November 2021, has finally deployed an update that allows players to taste what seems like a complete release candidate. This update represents a perfect playable state, which should’ve been considered during its release in November 2021.

After tons of updates, the developer has decided to introduce a brand new scoreboard feature, allowing players to track their performance and a VoIP, which encourages cooperation between squads easier. Bugs are squashed, gunplay is balanced, and mouse input is more responsive as tons of other sideline changes settle in the game. EA DICE has been listening to its player feedback, resulting in the deployment of such a valuable game update.

In the previous days, it was hard to find a game due to its low and frustrated player base. Today, Battlefield 2042 is at a completely different pace, and we hope to see it continue that way. So, what are the best highlights we can pull from this update? Breakthrough’s finally back, thanks to the balance tweaks and the fix of the devastating bug allowing air vehicles to spawn at opponents’ HQ at the beginning of the round.

The Tarkov-inspired game mode, Hazard Zone also feels more enjoyable, unlike before. Its issues have been uprooted from the game mode, and with all the inherited global changes, it has become a respectful game mode once again. If you’ve been disappointed by the Battlefield 2042 performance, this should be the day when you give it another chance. Everything’s the same, except the delivery of a lot smoother performance without any major bugs.

Have you tried the new update? If yes, let us know what it feels like in the comments below!
