With the beta behind us, there’s much to talk about Battlefield 2042, yet communicate about the current features, issues, and bugs discovered during the event. Even if the developer did not find anything about a Battle Royale mode, something related to it might be boiling in the background. So, Battle Royale might be in the works, and according to credible sources, the development of such game mode was hugely inspired by Apex Legends.
In other news, the theory that #Battlefield2042 started as a Battle Royale is true, although I'm not sure how far in development it was changed to a more "traditional" Battlefield.
The inspiration from CoD was there, but Apex was a BIG inspiration.

With all of the gameplay changes and the addition of Specialists, we can confirm that Battlefield 2042 is a mixture of Apex Legends and CoD: Warzone. It’s pretty apparent to note that Battlefield 2042 operates with elements, animations, and gameplay fluidity found in both of those Battle Royale games.
We can easily confirm how the franchise has somewhat traversed from the traditional Battlefield gameplay to something completely new. It’s like a new specialty served to fans which consumption led to a bunch of mixed feelings. Some do like it, others don’t, and the main culprit for that is the ability for different specialists to choose from all of the offered weapons.
Aside from that, we do agree it’s a unique Battlefield game and will most probably be one of the most successful ones in the franchise. After the sore delay of Battlefield 2042’s development, the game will come out on November 19, 2021.
