Battlefield 2042 Battle Royale Mode is Available Through Portal

All of the “last man standing” games and game modes are probably the most exciting for the fans, especially when it comes down to first-person shooters. Battlefield 2042 was among them but did not have the chance to launch with this particular game mode. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Battlefield 2042 won’t include a Battle Royale mode. Instead, the clues lead to the contrary.

One of Battlefield 2042’s beauties is that players can set up their custom modes and even execute various commands at their will, thanks to Battlefield Portal. Portal allows you to create your immersion and share it with players worldwide, including weapons and specialists from all of the series. But that’s not why we’re talking about a Battle Royale mode at this point. Instead, it’s something way more surprising and already available to play.

Even if DICE did not include a Battle Royale game mode, it may launch one later (remember Battlefield V’s Firestorm). But thanks to Battlefield Portal, we can already play these modes in the most brutal and immersive possible way. Given the Battlefield Portal limits, players have been able to somewhat replicate a Battle Royale mode in Battlefield 2042. A guy named CHBMG on Reddit claimed to have built a Battle Royale game mod.

The game mode is called “Warfield 100 – Battle Royale,” and it’s supposed to include a whole Battle Royale experience for all the fans of the genre itself. We know how important this would be, considering Call of Duty a competitor. According to the game mode’s official description, it offers everything a normal Battle Royale game would. Warfield 100″ is a 100-player battle royale. Features include a pre-game lobby, parachuting into action, a closing circle, random ground loot, a prison, and a spectator mode.

To participate in Battlefield 2042 Warfield 100 Battle Royale mode you will need to search for the following name, or just try posting the code AAGDWA in Battlefield Portal. Unlike other Battle Royale games, this one has its own “closing circle” design, and it’s replaced by AI. Mobs that would assign the next circle of the area, pushing players to remain in the zone.

Overall, despite the knockdowns provided by others neglecting the possibility of a Battle Royale mode in Battlefield 2042, a typical video game developer has decided to do that on his own. More surprisingly, he achieved his goal, even if the safe zone is marked by living AI.
