Battlefield 1’s May Update Is Live Bringing Hit Registration and Operations Changes

Battlefield 1 May Update

After the live broadcast which was hosted by Dice on Friday, the May update is now live, fixing a couple of issues and also improving the Operations matchmaking. This update will bring a lot of changes to vehicles, Operations, Dominion, while also improving the hit registration which was already known that will come in Battlefield’s 1’s May update.

Battlefield 1 May Update

This BF1 patch is not just a glue to fix a couple of issues, instead, there are going to be more of them addressed. A full list of a detailed changelog is waiting for you to read, however, you might want to read the most important once first. Battlefield 1’s May update is already available on all live servers, PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. This new feature treats Operation games in the same way a server would treat Conquest matches, not kicking all of the players when the Operation is finished but instead, the Operation will start all over again.

Operations and Dominion Changes

Dice pretty much empowers the Operations matchmaking, making it more efficient and faster than before. It’s true, considering that players won’t need to leave and queue all over again. Dice also aim at adding multiple Operations on each server just like maps are rotated in other game modes.

On the other side, Dominion had its ticket count doubled to 200. This should pretty much lengthen matches as requested by the actual numbers of players. Furthermore, this update also fixes a Spectator Mode bug, and the first person camera will no longer become stuck during the Pigeon carrier Artillery camera sequence on the Assault Tank.

Talking about the Battlefield 1’s netcode, this new update will pretty much seal the deal on improving the ping, which as we said above, it may result in better hit registration. So basically, if your ping is higher than 130 ms, you’re forced to aim and shoot farther in front of your target.

Premium Friends is back

Premium Friends is now back again after a couple of tests by Dice and will be active as they lead up to EA PLAY. This Battlefield 1’s update will be downloaded automatically on Origin.

Overall, seems like a quite improving update, making the community happier, especially with the fix of the ping related issues and the annoying re-queue in . To see all the patch notes in more details, make sure you continue to the second page of this post.
