DON’T NOD has released a new gameplay trailer for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, showcasing its universe and characters.
The game will launch in a couple of weeks. It takes players to the treacherous terrain of New Eden, located in 1695 North America. In this game, players will embody the roles of two Banishers, Red and Antea. They aim to protect the innocent from specters and aid the departed souls. However, the game plot thickens when Antea transitions into a spirit, and Red is left with a mission to either revive Antea by sacrificing others or to help her attain a higher state of being. Red must uphold his sacred Banisher vows throughout the game while completing his mission.
The game features a diverse combat system that allows players to easily switch between two characters: Red, equipped with a rifle, sword, and specialized Banisher abilities, and Antea, who wields spectral powers. Enhancements that improve their skills and offer synergistic benefits are available for each character, such as increased damage when switching between characters during a combo. Additionally, Antea can navigate through the Veil, unlocking previously inaccessible areas with her special powers.
Scheduled for release on February 13th, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. Insights from actors Russ Bain and Amaka Okafor, who lend their voices to the central characters, are available for those interested in learning more about the game’s protagonists.
