Ball X Pit has surpassed one million copies sold since its October release, Devolver Digital announced on X on December 2, 2025, and confirmed three major free updates arriving across 2026. The publisher’s post teases content that will expand the core loop with new ball types, evolutions, playable characters, and additional buildings to upgrade the hub between runs. The first free drop is due in January, with follow-ups scheduled for April and July.
The momentum isn’t surprising given how Ball X Pit mixed frantic ball-flinging action with town-building hooks. Players and critics warmed to the blend after launch, and the game’s PS5 arrival was covered in detail when it first landed on the platform earlier this year, see the original launch write-up for background via the Ball X Pit feature.
Hitting a seven-figure tally is a solid result for an indie roguelike that launched late in the year. Devolver’s post-launch cadence of regular, free content updates looks set to keep players coming back and may widen the audience beyond the initial surge.
