Larian Studios released Baldur’s Gate 3 update November 20 as Hotfix 35. The patch leans into stability and Steam Deck improvements while fixing a handful of platform-specific crashes. The studio says the patch targets freezes and crashes across PS5, Xbox, Mac and Steam Deck, and it also adjusts the default upscaling on the native Steam Deck build. For context, the team added a native Steam Deck build in Hotfix 34 and that change set the stage for this round of fixes and tweaks our Hotfix 34 coverage.
MP1st reproduced the official notes and links to Larian’s Steam news post. The patch focuses on crash fixes during multiplayer and load operations, controller recovery on Steam Deck when switching modes, and improved VRAM use on Nvidia GPUs. - Fixed a crash on startup when the EN locale is missing on Steam Deck.

Larian continues to tweak the live game even after declaring the content phase over, and this patch is the kind that mainly matters when players run into crashes or hardware-specific quirks. Players who use Steam Deck should see sharper default rendering and fewer controller hiccups, while multiplayer groups on consoles and Mac should notice fewer session-ending crashes.
