Baldur’s Gate 3 developers Larian Studios have announced that the team will now focus entirely on their upcoming project. This shift follows the successful launch of Baldur’s Gate 3, which has garnered significant attention and acclaim.
In a recent discussion with Video Gamer, representatives from Larian confirmed that “Swen and the team[‘s]… full attention is focused on crafting their next title.” The studio also indicated they would enter a “media blackout” until further updates are available.
Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian Studios, shared insights about the studio’s journey in a post on X. He expressed gratitude for the experiences so far while hinting at more developments ahead, stating that it has been “an incredible journey so far. But the story isn’t over yet. Stay Tuned.”

Previously, in March 2024, Larian had announced they would not pursue additional downloadable content or sequels for Baldur’s Gate but rather focus on something new. It has since come to light that they are currently working on two new projects while continuing support for Baldur’s Gate 3.
Hasbro has shown interest in developing it for fans concerned about future titles in the Baldur’s Gate series. They are actively seeking suitable partners for this endeavor. Additionally, actors from Baldur’s Gate 3 have expressed enthusiasm about participating in a new Dungeons and Dragons game or film adaptation.
