LAN Downunder 2026 will bring eight Team Fortress 2 teams to Fortress Arena in Melbourne on July 18-19, with the tournament set to crown Australia’s next champion.
The event also marks ten years since CappingTV began casting Team Fortress 2 matches. The anniversary will be part of the weekend program, which will look back at the broadcasts, rivalries, and community moments that shaped the Australian scene.
Last year’s grand finalists, BLG and j*b, are both returning for another shot at the title. They will face a field that includes experienced LAN competitors as well as players preparing for their first appearance at an in-person event.
The official Team Fortress announcement confirmed that broadcasts will begin at 12:00 p.m. AEST on both days. Fans can watch through CappingTV’s Twitch channel or attend at Fortress Arena, with tickets and event information available through the LAN Downunder event hub.
With a returning finals rivalry, first-time LAN players, and a ten-year CappingTV celebration sharing the same stage, Melbourne will have plenty to watch when the matches begin.
