Assassin’s Creed Shadows Will Have a Physics-Based Grappling Hook

We’ve got some major news for you. Assassin’s Creed Shadows will blow your mind with some insane new features that were revealed earlier. The franchise’s next installment will take things to a new level with a fully dynamic lighting system and a physics-based grappling hook. Yeah, you heard that right, a freaking grappling hook!

First of all, Meet Naoe, your new favorite assassin. This character is a total badass when it comes to stealth and shadows. Thanks to the game’s dynamic lighting, Naoe can disappear into the darkness and knock out enemies. Basically, she can do whatever she wants. It’s like playing as a ghost that can also kick some serious butt.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows keeps the open-world action RPG vibe you loved in Odyssey and Valhalla, but it’s cranking up the stealth and parkour elements. Game director Charles Benoit said the team wanted to keep the core Assassin’s Creed elements, you know, hidden blades, assassinations, and stealth – but make it feel more modern.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows keeps the open-world action RPG vibe you loved in Odyssey and Valhalla, but it cranks up the stealth and parkour elements. Game director Charles Benoit said the team wanted to keep the core Assassin’s Creed elements—hidden blades, assassinations, and staying hidden, but instead, unlike before, they want to make it feel more modern.

Benoit told IGN “The thing that shines the most, I feel, in Assassin’s Creed, it’s really the hidden blade, the assassination, being able to stay hidden. So that’s the core that we want to keep. What we needed to push forward feel a bit more modern in the approach.”

Now, let’s talk about the real game-changer here, the physics-based grappling hook. This isn’t just some gimmicky gadget. This gadget will change the way you live, breathe, and ofc, the way you play. Imagine scaling buildings, swinging across gaps, and pulling off some insane parkour moves. Isn’t this what AC was always supposed to be?

Oh, and I have to mention something. Based on everything we heard and obviously saw about the game, we don’t know what the story would exactly be, but we do know that Ubisoft said that the next game would have a more linear story, unlike its late predecessors.

What do you think about this? Please let us know in the comments below!
