Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced’s Denuvo Was Cracked More Than a Month After Launch

The voices38 crack follows the remake's July 9 release and targets its Denuvo anti-tamper protection.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has had its Denuvo anti-tamper protection cracked by voices38, more than a month after the remake launched on July 9.

The development concerns a bypass of the protection, not an announcement that Ubisoft has removed Denuvo from the game. It does, however, mark the end of the protection’s current run against unauthorized access on PC.

What the remake changes

Ubisoft rebuilt the combat system around quicker battles, with parries and takedowns playing a larger role. Stealth and parkour also received changes, giving Edward Kenway smoother ways to move through areas and escape danger.

The Jackdaw can be upgraded throughout the campaign, while new naval mechanics and alternate fire modes give players more ways to deal with stronger enemy ships. The remake also adds quality-of-life changes across the broader experience.

New story material brings back familiar pirates including Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet, each with new storylines. Three additional officers join Edward’s crew as part of the main campaign.

Traversal and stealth have new options as well. Edward can dive underwater in almost any location, use his rope to pull enemies closer during stealth attacks, and throw coins to distract guards. The remake runs on the Anvil Engine and supports ray tracing for global illumination and reflections.

The Denuvo crack adds another development to the PC version’s launch story. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
