Hey soldiers! The new 1.3.0.170 update for Arma Reforger just dropped on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, and it’s packed with a bunch of fixes, tweaks, and some cool additions for modders. This patch might smooth things out if you’ve been running into crashes or weird animation glitches. Plus, there are some fresh tools to play with in the Workbench that could make your modding sessions a lot more fun.
What’s New in 1.3.0.170?
Assets
- Destruction disabled on several assets like Ammo Crates, Fuel Service Prefabs, and Helicopters to keep things consistent.
- Weapons Arsenal Box updated to match other similar assets.
- Added Load/Unload actions for supplies on the BRDM-2 and unified setup on the LAV-25.
- Interior lighting tweaked for multiple buildings, aircraft shelters, and the mountain hotel—making those environments look a bit better.
- Commander switch action in the BTR-70 got a tweak.
- Fixed some annoying bugs like the headlook camera in LAV-25, horn animation interruptions in UAZ vehicles, and a hatch opening the wrong way on the Light Beacon.
- Powerline materials got fixed too.
General
- HDR settings received some tweaks.
- Animation issues fixed when two characters operate the same entity.
- PS5 Motion Sensor no longer stays active when the game is suspended.
Stability and Performance
- Memory usage optimized in rendering to help with performance.
- Fixed crashes related to mortar loading, muzzle projectile reuse, world subscenes, seat switching, task synchronization, ladder use, map descriptor deletion, and navmesh generation.
- Possible fix for server freeze on restart and replication table inconsistencies.
Workbench and Modding
- New options added to the Shape Area Tool: Snap To Terrain, Centre On Position, and Shape Closing.
- Power line base Prefab added for modders to use.
- Download queue introduced to limit how many addons download and process at once.
- Polyline Area Tool renamed to Shape Area Tool.
- Fixed several issues including 2D map topo generation, ScriptAPI PointInfo class config inheritance, Polyline Area Tool crashes, and addon dependency updates.
- Removed PolylineArea/Class and cameras from ArlandEmpty and EdenEmpty.
