Embark Studios told players on the official Discord that it will push a series of anti-cheat updates to Arc Raiders over the coming weeks. The developer says it will change rulesets, improve detection and ban enforcement, and add client-side fixes aimed at an out-of-map exploit.
Streamers and community clips pushed the issue into the open this week, with some creators claiming cheating is rampant in high-rank lobbies. Console & PC Gaming highlighted that streamer complaints and clips have drawn a lot of attention to the problem, and that discussion helped prompt the developer response. Clips and posts from streamers show the scale of complaints.
Embark plans several fronts of action. Developers will update detection systems and tighten how bans are applied. They also said they will deploy client-side measures to block the out-of-map glitch that many players have abused. Finally, the team will add tools to help protect broadcasted games, including features to cut down on stream sniping.
Embark described the issue as being taken “very seriously” and said it is acting on player feedback. The studio first flagged a surge of cheaters on January 8 and has been publicly addressing player reports since then. Earlier coverage lays out how the developer acknowledged the spike and promised enforcement changes.
Players should expect staged rollouts rather than an instant fix. The changes target detection and enforcement first, then the client-side exploits that let some players gain unfair advantages. Embark did not publish a full timetable for each element but said updates would arrive in the next few weeks.
