The ARC Raiders Server Slam final open beta kicked off this week, and on Steam, the stress test delivered 189,668 concurrent players within hours of going live. According to SteamDB charts, ARC Raiders surged to 189,668 concurrent players shortly after the Server Slam began, a solid showing for a new shooter in the crowded fall release window. The Server Slam is the last open playtest before the game’s October 30 launch and runs through Sunday, October 19.
The Server Slam itself was planned as the final load test; details on timing and scope were laid out ahead of the event in the announcement about the Server Slam test set for October 17–19. With the test open to anyone, requiring no registration or codes, the Steam numbers only represent part of the picture. Including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players could push total concurrent users much higher.
Embark Studios also deployed a hotfix during the playtest to address crashes and other stability issues encountered by participants; the technical update was posted alongside the Server Slam details and is recommended reading for anyone jumping in. Players in the Server Slam can sample the Dam Battlegrounds map and the game’s core loop; progression from this test does not carry over to retail, but participants receive an exclusive in-game backpack as a participation reward. It’s an impressive early turnout for a fresh IP, and the Server Slam numbers will be watched closely this weekend as players continue to push the servers. Expect follow-up patches if the playrun reveals new stability issues.
