ARC Raiders Install Sizes Revealed – PS5 Version Just 16.19 GB

ARC Raiders, the PvPvE extraction shooter from Embark Studios, is due on October 30, 2025, and the stated install sizes for each platform have turned heads. A post on X by the ARC Raiders Alerts account lists the file sizes, and yes, the PS5 number is tiny compared with most modern triple-A releases.

Install sizes at a glance

The post lists the game at 16.19 GB on PS5, 29.05 GB on Xbox Series X/S, and 32.66 GB on PC. For a live service title with large, pretty maps and Unreal Engine 5 visuals, those figures feel unusually compact.

There are a few things to keep in mind. These are launch sizes, not final sizes. ARC Raiders is being built as a long-term project, and the developer has talked about the game’s longevity and future content plans. For background on that approach, see our coverage of the studio’s long-term plans around the game’s 10-year ambitions. We also previously covered the maps coming at launch, which give a sense of the scope those file sizes have to support in our launch maps piece.

How do they keep it so small?

There are a few technical and design reasons a game can stay compact. ARC Raiders favors sculpted, large-scale environments over dense, asset-heavy worlds. Enemy encounters tend to be focused groups rather than constant hordes, and clever compression and streaming systems can shave gigabytes off a build. Whatever the exact mix, the end result is that a PS5 owner with limited storage can actually keep ARC Raiders installed without a constant purge session.

That said, players should expect size growth over time as new seasons, modes, and cosmetic packs arrive. The core game at launch looks to be surprisingly light, but the full long-term footprint will only be known after the first wave of post-launch updates.
