Embark Studios confirmed that Arc Raiders has sold 12 million copies across all platforms since its October 30, 2025 launch.
To mark the milestone the studio is awarding every player a golden raider tool. The reward was originally planned for a 10 million milestone but holiday sales pushed the total higher. Players who have logged into Arc Raiders at least once before midnight CET on January 13, 2026 (6pm ET / 3pm PT on January 13) will receive the gold hammer via in-game mail that day.
Embark executive producer Aleksander Grøndal said in a press release that “the community of raiders has helped shape this game from the very beginning, and their passion, feedback, and ingenuity continue to guide how we build, support, and grow this world for the long term.”
Design lead Virgil Watkins told GamesRadar+ the team feels both relief and pressure now that Arc Raiders has a much larger audience. Watkins called the response “probably a bit of both” and added, “The way it took off, I think, took all of us by surprise. And the way it’s done has taken us by surprise.” He said the game’s success is letting Embark expand and reorganize teams to support new work and improvements.
An analyst estimate published earlier this month matched the 12 million figure and Console PC Gaming also reported on that estimate in its Arc Raiders estimated at 12 million sales as new Steam peak nears article. Arc Raiders continues to draw high player numbers on Steam and across platforms, and Embark says it will keep building content and updates for the game.
