Embark Studios rolled out a small Arc Raiders update, Patch 1.6.0, that removed a Stella Montis zipline players were using to reach out-of-bounds areas and patched several other map exploits and collision problems. The mini update targeted a handful of location-specific issues that let players bypass intended map geometry or receive hits through walls. The studio listed the fixes on the game’s Steam news post and the team’s community manager, Ossen, shared a cadence change in the official Discord.
Embark said it will stop pushing weekly Thursday patches. Future releases and store changes will arrive on Tuesdays less often than before as the team takes a break over the winter holidays and focuses on monitoring and addressing only critical issues during that period. Players who want background on the new Stella Montis map and its earlier changes can read more about the Stella Montis map and related fixes from the previous major update.
Patch Notes – Arc Raiders – Patch 1.6.0
- Removing the zipline on Stella Montis that lets players go out of bounds.
- Fixing a collision that let players get through a wall in Blue Gate.
- Fixing material issues, which meant bullets or arcs’ vision weren’t blocked by some objects.
- Patching a gap at the Spaceport Launch Tower, which allowed players to get shot through a wall.
Players can expect fewer weekly drops and a quieter patch schedule as Embark takes its winter break, but the studio said it will continue to monitor and fix critical issues as needed.
