Arc Raiders’ first wipe ends with a surprise farewell cinematic

On December 22, 2025, the optional first account wipe window for Arc Raiders closed and players who chose to reset their characters were treated to a short, unexpected cinematic. The clip shows a raider leaving their room in Speranza, giving a moment to the rooster known as Scrappy, and launching out of the city in a raider pod.

The wipe itself remains optional. Players who reset lose their stash, cash, and progress on workbenches and skill trees, but they get rewards for the coming eight-week cycle. Those bonuses include 12 extra stash slots, bonus skill points for the refreshed skill tree, XP boosts, and an exclusive skin.

The cinematic opens with somber music as the raider walks through Speranza’s hub. A voice offscreen shouts, “Who the hell’s gonna look after that damn chicken, huh?” The player hesitates, climbs into the pod, slams the hatch, and the pod blasts to the surface. The final shot is the destroyed pod landing and the character walking into a sandy location that resembles Buried City but lacks clear landmarks.

After the cutscene, a stat summary scrolls like end credits, listing Arc enemies defeated, player eliminations, the most crafted item, and other personal run details. It is currently unclear whether the same cinematic will appear for future wipes or if Embark Studios will rotate or expand these farewells over time.

Footage captured by players is available on YouTube.
