Embark Studios will run a final ARC Raiders open beta, called the Server Slam Test, from October 17 through October 19. The test is a short, public stress check aimed at seeing how the game’s servers behave under heavy load ahead of launch. There are no more ARC Raiders delays on the cards after earlier schedule changes. The studio even paused development at one point after saying the game was “Not Fun,” so this is the last big public test before retail launch.
The Server Slam Test is a fully open beta that anyone can join. Players do not need invitation codes or preorders to participate. The developer writes plainly on Steam: “No codes this time. Everyone’s welcome.” The point is simple. Embark wants to know how many people will try to get into matches on day one and whether matchmaking, lobbies, and extraction runs can withstand the pressure.
The Server Slam Test runs on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. This is a current‑gen release only. Players on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch will not be able to join. Progress in the open beta will not carry over to the whole game. Treat the test like a free demo and a stress check rolled into one: play, stress the servers, and report problems rather than chasing meta progression.
