Respawn Entertainment has just pushed out Apex Legends update 2.92 across all platforms, targeting some pesky bugs that have been grinding players’ gears. Challenges in Mixtape mode not progressing and loot bins spawning in weird spots are among the fixes included. The patch size is pretty small, so don’t expect it to solve every problem magically, but it’s a start.
Here’s what Respawn has fixed with patch 2.92:
- Challenges not gaining progress in Mixtape
- Loot Bins spawning in places they shouldn’t be
- Caustic’s Gas Fighter upgrade lasting longer than intended
- Bangalore’s upgraded abilities destroying deployables through walls
- An issue causing Sparrow to have fewer arrows than intended when using a Bocek in Wildcard mode
- Added an Amp icon to enemy health bars to show when players have Amps equipped
Some of these bugs were getting annoying, especially the Mixtape progression one. How do you enjoy a mode when your challenges don’t track? Respawn also added a nice touch with the Amp icon on enemy health bars, which should help in spotting threats faster.
On top of these fixes, Respawn’s official Trello board lists a few other issues they’re working on:
Known Issues Respawn Is Watching
- Showdown Split 1 Battle Pass auto-completing
- Reports of missing or disappearing challenges
- Founder’s badge showing as locked but still equipable
- High CPU usage reports while running the game
Currently Investigating
- Inconsistent EVO receipt from squadmates using Survey Beacon or Ring Console
- Some Mixtape challenges not tracking progress correctly
- Inactive EVO Harvester hitbox lingering
- FPS drops on Xbox when Bloodhound’s ultimate is active
Fixes In Progress
- Loot Bins spawning inside inaccessible areas on Storm Point
- Xbox settings resetting since Season 26 launch
- Visual error with Retro Packs progress bar (still tracking correctly in backend)
- Controller perk issue preventing EVAC casting from Ring Console
Curious how Respawn will tackle these? Guess we’ll find out soon enough. Meanwhile, if you want to try out some other shooter action, EA’s Battlefield 6 is preparing for its second beta weekend with new maps and modes starting this Thursday. You can check out the details here.
