The developer pushed a small, targeted hotfix for Apex Legends on 11/20/2025. The update addresses two player-facing issues that were affecting progression and weapon animation timing on PC. This is a minimal update aimed at clearing up a couple of annoying edge cases. Octane players who bought the Spotlight Pass should now see the travel challenge track properly, and a popular R-301 skin now reloads like every other R-301 variant.
We previously covered the 11/10 update that fixed a quip audio clash on Steam, which shows Respawn is still rolling out short patches between larger seasonal updates.
Patch Notes – Apex Legends – 11/20/2025
- Octane challenge “Travel 250 meters with Octane’s Stim” should now progress appropriately for those with the Octane Spotlight Pass
- Void Disruption Evolved R-301 reload speed is now in line with all other R-301 skins
Neither change alters core gameplay or weapon stats. The Octane fix matters if players were stuck on the Spotlight Pass progression and chasing rewards. The R-301 skin fix is cosmetic and quality-of-life, but it removes a jarring inconsistency that some players noticed during firefights.
