Respawn pushed a small update for Apex Legends on January 6, 2026 that targets two stability problems players were hitting after the Winter Wipeout changes. The Wildcard Hoverboard arrived as part of the Winter Wipeout update.
The new build specifically addresses a crash tied to the Wildcard Hoverboard and a separate crash that occurred when many players joined the Firing Range. Players who experienced those disconnects or crashes should see improved stability after installing the patch.
