Respawn announced the Merry Mayhem event for Apex Legends, a holiday-themed limited-time mode that will run from December 16, 2025 to January 6, 2026 and adds a frosty Wildcard map, guarded Mythic airdrops, and a fresh set of Wild Cards. The centerpiece Wildcard is a snowbound version of Olympus. Players who drop into the map will find winter decorations and EVO Orbs spread across the zone.
Respawn also added Guarded Airdrops. Each airdrop lands with a squad of hostile Spectres protecting high-end loot. The crates can contain Mythic and season-spanning weapons listed in the event announcement, including the Kraber, Power Sword, Vermilion R-301, Hornet R-301, Grand Slam Bat, and the Road Rage Flatline.
New Wild Cards arriving with Merry Mayhem are:
- Flash Freeze: Silence enemy abilities on shield break
- Do-Over: Get a free self-revive when teammates score a knockdown
- Super Cells: Fully charge your shield with a single Shield Cell
Several existing Wild Cards will remain in rotation, including Personal Space, Hard Hitter, Wall Runner, Extra Ordnance, Down Bad, Drain Gain, and Chain Reaction.
The event will offer weekly challenges that reward cosmetics and packs, such as an Amped Seasonal Pack, a Holo-Day Pack, and Rare Apex Packs. A themed in-game shop called the Holo-Day Bash Store will sell winter Legendary skins including Gibraltar’s Brudda Bear and Pandamonium, Pathfinder’s Joyfinder, and Octane’s Dasher.
Respawn also listed a few schedule items alongside Merry Mayhem: Battle Pass Split 2 and Ranked Split 2 both start on December 16, 2025, and the Amped Mid-Season Update is slated for January 6, 2026.
