Anthem increases loot drops for GM2 and GM3 difficulties

At this point, BioWare is trying to salvage whatever’s been lost over the past period. Fans have raised their voice and criticism regarding the loot drops in Anthem. After the recent changes and increase in loot drops, BioWare has decided to elevate that even more.

In today’s Anthem update, BioWare has decided to increase the loot drops for Grandmaster 2 and Grandmaster 3 difficulty. However, after playing for a while, it appears that the loot drops do not correlate with the given effort by the players. The difference between GM2 and GM3 is not small, but the loot is.

Whatever content is being done on GM 3 difficulty, should at least drop more items by double. This is simply because the pressure and effort given by the players in those two difficulties cannot be compared at all. GM3 Players have to pretty much sweat their way through a Stronghold.

Pardon me, but I do believe that GM3 should drop almost double the loot than GM2. BioWare still doesn’t provide us the exact value of how the loot tables work. But, they provided us with a set of server-side changes, for who they believe the players will find it satisfying.

Below you can find the changes:

In the latest server-side update, we’ve made some notable changes to the loot drop rate in specific scenarios, which will take effect immediately in a server-side tuning update (i.e. you will not need to download anything.)

These changes include:

Masterwork & Legendary drop rates have been increased for Grandmaster 2 and Grandmaster 3 difficulty levels.

Masterwork & Legendary drop rates have been increased for harder enemies at all difficulty levels. This includes: Legendary Titan, Epic Titan, Legendary Fury, Legendary Acid Ursix and Legendary Luminary Elder.

At this point, no matter how good the gameplay felt in Anthem, there are other games from the same genre that are more prominent.

What do you think, is this the starting point to Anthem’s total collapse? Tell us in the comments below!

I played GM2 last night and only got epic and rare drops, one MW drop, and we busted our butts to finish it. Played GM1 on the same stronghold after that and I got 8 masterworks and 1 legendary. What gives? Should I just stick to GM1 since it’s so easy to power grind?
