Naked Rain Studio has released an official gameplay trailer for ANANTA, an open-world anime game that combines open-city freedom with web-swinging and action. The studio states that Ananta will be available on PC and will support NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Gen, although a release date has not been announced.
The trailer presents a large, neon-lit city to explore, allowing players to switch between multiple characters, build a crew, and move freely between business districts and back alleys. The game blends daytime hustle with nightlife scenes, team combat, and missions that appear to let players choose between stealth and open confrontation.
There is no ETA for launch. The announcement also confirms PC support and that the game will use NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Gen to help performance and image quality on supported hardware.
One detail that drew attention in the footage is the swinging mechanics. Several viewers have noted that the movement looks very similar to that of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and some have accused the developers of copying those animations. Insomniac uses a proprietary engine for Spider-Man 2, so it is unclear how identical animation timing and feel would appear outside that context. The resemblance is striking in the trailer, and it may become a point of discussion as more footage becomes available.
For now, Ananta reads like a fusion of open-world city systems and Spider-Man 2-style traversal, dressed in an anime visual style. Whether PC players will focus on it while other major open world titles are still some way from PC is an open question, but DLSS 4 support could help attract players running modern NVIDIA cards.
This will be particularly important to PC players who enjoy open-world city games and fast traversal, as well as to anyone interested in how smaller studios borrow or adapt mechanics from big-budget titles. Share thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X and Bluesky.
