Innersloth posted a year-end devlog on Steam on December 15, 2025 that sums up what the team shipped this year and lays out holiday plans through early 2026. The studio said the team will be on winter holiday from December 15 to January 5, 2026 and that there won’t be updates during that window. Player support remains available via the studio’s Zendesk for bug reports and account help.
Limited NYE hat and winter items
Players can grab a free limited New Year 2026 hat when they log in starting December 26 at 07:00 UTC. The giveaway runs through January 31, 2026. The Snowflake, Snowbean, and Gift Cosmicubes also returned for the winter season and will be available until December 31.
2025 recap highlights

Innersloth pointed back to the 2025 roadmap and the major systems and content releases that landed this year. Matchmaking changes in Update v16.0.0 in March added lobby filters and previewed settings so players can find games that match their preferences more easily.
September’s v17.0.0 introduced two new roles: Detective and Viper. The Detective is a Crewmate role that requires more active investigation, while Viper is an Impostor role with a distinct kill animation that spawned plenty of community reactions.
Collaborations and cosmetics
Innersloth ran several collabs and Cosmicubes this year. Highlights mentioned in the post include a Stardew Valley Cosmicube with ConcernedApe, a Kamurocho pack with RGG Studios, a Paimon-inspired look tied to Genshin Impact’s Version Luna launch, and the return of the Pusheen Cosmicube. The studio also noted Among Us appearances in other games, including a Backbling in Fortnite and cross-placements in titles like What The Car? and Unrailed 2.
Cosmetic drops included a Racing Cosmicube in June and other seasonal bundles across the year.
Security and platform housekeeping
The team deprecated older 2022 and 2023 versions of Among Us to move players onto current builds with the latest fixes and security updates. The devlog reiterated that the team watches for problems and handles legal, technical, and cross-platform matters behind the scenes.
TV show status
On the entertainment front, the post reassured players that the TV show is still happening but said news will arrive when the studio can share more. Victoria and the Innersloth team closed the post with thanks for another year of players running tasks and chaotic lobbies, and with a reminder about the holiday schedule and the NYE hat giveaway. Player support and helpdesk links mentioned in the devlog are available at the studio’s Zendesk request page and help center.
