AMD’s Anti-Lag/+ Feature May Cause VAC Bans in CS2

If you are an AMD graphics card user and a fan of the game CS2, you may want to exercise caution when using AMD’s new “Anti-Lag/+” feature. Valve has stated that enabling this feature in CS2 could potentially result in a Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) ban.

AMD’s Anti-Lag/+ feature is designed to reduce input lag, thereby providing a more responsive gaming experience. It is a driver-level feature recently updated to support CS2, a popular first-person shooter game.

While it’s tempting to utilize every feature available to improve your gaming experience, sometimes caution is warranted. In this case, using AMD’s Anti-Lag/+ feature could result in unwanted consequences if you’re a CS2 player.

Until AMD issues an update to resolve this conflict, it’s best to keep the feature turned off while playing CS2. This precaution is necessary to ensure you don’t encounter problems with the game’s anti-cheat system.

AMD's latest driver has made their "Anti-Lag/+" feature available for CS2, which is implemented by detouring engine dll functions.

If you are an AMD customer and play CS2, DO NOT ENABLE ANTI-LAG/+; any tampering with CS code will result in a VAC ban.
