Amanita Design Condemns AI-Made Machinarium Tribute
Amanita Design praised fan creations after the AI-made Machinarium tribute was deleted, while Nura Studios CEO Sylvio Drouin apologized and removed his posts.

Amanita Design rejected an AI-generated Machinarium tribute after Nura Studios CEO Sylvio Drouin posted a video made with the 2009 game’s assets on October 20. The studio said the animation had nothing to do with its work.
“Love letters are supposed to be handwritten. This looks disgusting and has nothing to do with us or our craft,” Amanita wrote on X.
The audacity to feed Machinarium assets to AI, make AI slop animations, and call it a love letter…

Drouin later apologized, saying he had intended the video as an homage to Amanita’s work, and deleted his posts.
@Amanita_Design we are so sorry for the post we did. We thought it was an hommage to your amazing work and I already deleted the posts, again please accept our sincere apologies.

Amanita later said the AI ad had been deleted, then shared fan creations and praised the work sent in by players. “Fan art is the highest compliment, and we cherish every piece!” the studio wrote.
We didn't expect so much support! The studio deleted the AI ad.
Now, we’re handing the spotlight to you by sharing some fan creations you've sent us. Fan art is the highest compliment, and we cherish every piece!

With its hand-drawn world and expressive mechanical characters, Machinarium gives fan artists a vivid visual language to build on. Amanita announced Machinarium 2 earlier in October.
