Patch 11.2 is bringing a fresh raid-only Renown system called Manaforge Vandals tied to the Manaforge Omega raid. If you’re wondering what this means for your weekly raid grind and what rewards are involved, I’ve got you covered. Here’s the rundown on how to climb the Renown ranks and what goodies you’ll get along the way.
What is Manaforge Vandals Renown?
This new Renown track is similar to the Gallagio Royalty Rewards Club, but only available inside the Manaforge Omega raid. You can expect some perks like a stacking buff that boosts your damage and healing, raid skips, and access to special vendors. However, if you don’t keep up with the weekly progression, you might miss out on those sweet +15% buffs.
How to Increase Your Renown?
Starting August 5, you’ll be able to increase your Renown by 1 point per week by defeating raid bosses and lieutenant enemies. There’s also a catch-up mechanic, so if you fall behind, you can still catch up to the current cap. Pretty forgiving, right?
Vendors and Currency
You’ll find two important vendors associated with Manaforge Vandals:
- Ba’choso sells cloak appearances for Loombeast Silk, which drops from Loom’ithar starting at Renown 2.
- Zo’ropo appears at Shadow Point at Renown 12 and trades Ethereal Essence Slivers dropped by Nexus-King Salhadaar for various cosmetics.
Full Renown Track Highlights
The full track features multiple unlocks. Here’s some key moments:
- Renown 1: Vendors and auctioneers appear at Shadow Point.
- Renown 3: Speed boost of 15% outside combat inside the raid.
- Renown 5: Raid skip becomes available.
- Renown 8: New enchanting and inscription recipes, plus a chance to get the Vandal’s Gearglider mount and a cute companion named Zo’ya.
- Renown 10: Movement speed boost upgrades to 30%.
- Renown 14: Title “Star Savior” and the mount The Bone Freezer become available.
- Renown 15: Max +15% damage and healing buff inside Manaforge Omega and ability to teleport to the raid whenever you want.
Notable Changes
One thing to notice is the soft nerf to the damage and healing buff. It caps at +15% at Renown 15, down from 18% in Patch 11.1. So, if you’re used to that extra boost, it’s a slight downgrade. But hey, the raid skip at Renown 5 should help speed things up!
Honestly, I love that there’s a mount and title to chase after, plus some quality-of-life stuff like teleporting straight to Manaforge Omega. But I can’t help but wonder if the soft nerf on buffs will ruffle some feathers. What do you think? Worth the trade-off?
