Albion Online’s Dragonfire Update Will Put Players in the Path of Dragons on August 31
The update will add the Ancient Lands, the Dragon Sanctuary raid, the Fire Drake mount, and a major battle against Azaryon.

Albion Online will unleash its Dragonfire update on August 31, sending players into battles against powerful dragons, new realms, and the Ashborn forces that awakened them. The team detailed the update in an official Steam announcement, while the official Dragonfire page offers more information.
The biggest challenge will be Azaryon, the Fire Dragon. This enormous boss waits inside a lair accessible only to highly skilled groups. Taking it down will require careful teamwork and strong coordination during a major PvE encounter.
Dragons will also attack the Royal Continent and the Outlands. Those assaults will create open-world encounters for solo players, small groups, and guilds. Players will be able to work together against the creatures or compete with one another for the rewards.
The Ancient Lands Open New Routes
The Ashborn’s rituals will open portals to the Ancient Lands, a previously unknown realm made up of floating islands high above Albion. Strange portals will connect the islands, where players will face Ashborn enemies, powerful Drakes, valuable treasures, and rival players. The danger will increase as groups travel deeper into the realm.
Those who survive the Ancient Lands can reach the Dragon Sanctuary, a new raid dungeon filled with imposing enemies. The raid will require powerful equipment and coordinated groups, with the Ashborn leader waiting among its toughest encounters. Completing it will give players the chance to face Azaryon directly.

Dragonfire Adds New Rewards
Defeating Azaryon can reward players with Drake Eggs. These eggs can be raised into the Fire Drake, a new mount with unusual dietary needs.
Dragon Bones and Wings will also become materials for new armor items that draw on the creatures’ power. The Ancient Lands will contain a new type of fish that can be prepared into food with strong healing properties. Other ingredients will go toward a new potion, while a new vanity set, Avatar, and Avatar Ring will provide more cosmetic rewards.

Dragonfire will arrive in Albion Online on August 31. Share your thoughts on the dragon invasion and the rewards you want to chase in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
