Age of Empires IV patch 15.2.7380 is live as of December 4, 2025 and brings a mix of fixes, balance changes, and seasonal content aimed squarely at smoothing over issues introduced earlier in the year and polishing new Dynasties of the East content. The patch addresses lost Perk Points tied to Crucible Masteries and completing masteries now unlocks the full Perk Point rewards rather than a subset, cloud saves for The Crucible work properly on most platforms, and the developer says it will look to partially restore Perk Points for players impacted in the new year.
Season Twelve arrives with the seasonal event Season’s Feast. Players who log in between December 5 at 10:00am PT (1:00pm ET / 18:00 UTC) and February 5 can earn a slate of cosmetic rewards by completing challenges such as building scouts, sending tributes, and collecting gifts in Gift Haul matches. The patch also improves the Gift Haul mode by fixing spawn logic, adding a visual indicator for gift boxes, and allowing rewards that spawn in water to be picked up.
The ranked map pool receives a mid-season rotation. 1v1 maps change as follows: Craters -> King of The Hill, Golden Heights -> Ancient Spires, Flankwoods -> High View, Boulder Bay -> Four Lakes. Team ranked swaps include Craters -> Mountain Clearing, Continental -> Lake Side, Hidden Valley -> Lipany, and Ocean Gateway -> Waterholes. The developer says the rotation is intended to refresh match variety while preserving balance.
This patch touch economy upgrades, unit stats, and several Golden Horde and Tughlaq Dynasty systems. Notable numbers: Cache of Wood and Food 3 increases from 3000 to 5000, Cache 4 from 4000 to 8000, and Cache 5 is removed. Cannon Fodder no longer carries a downside and Spearmen cost reduction moves from 75% to 50%. Several Stone Army and Torguud values were adjusted – Torguud production times and health were reduced and damage was trimmed. Elephant units see multiple nerfs: War Elephant health drops from 850 to 800, Healer Elephant health drops from 450 to 400 and its mounted Imam healing is reduced from 7 to 5 HP per second, and Worker Elephant changes remove blacksmith upgrades and adjust UI/hotkey behavior.
Other mechanical and quality-of-life fixes include a correction for relic/selection hotkeys, fixes for invisible siege carts, a repair for an edge-case crash in Full Moon mode, improved water visuals for Cistern locations, and a suite of civilization-specific fixes. The Golden Horde received a long list of corrections, from removing accidental stone from meteorite mining to fixing Kipchak Archer production timing and ensuring Torguud interactions behave as intended. Tughlaq Dynasty fixes tidy up Worker Elephant controls and tech-tree tooltips.
The AI also received updates so the Golden Horde and Macedonian AI train units properly from Imperial Age landmarks and make fuller use of Stone Armies. Console keyboard and mouse users get a handful of menu and hotkey fixes, including making Stockyards constructible for the VPS when playing Golden Horde on console. Reports and feedback remain central to prioritization. You can find the full list of patch notes here.
