A Fortnite Fan Wants Epic to Review Two Runners Sprite Designs

The concerns involve a Bullet Sprite resembling Enter the Gungeon's Bullet Kin and a raccoon design whose timeline overlaps another creator's mockup.

Two Fortnite Runners sprite designs are being questioned over possible copying, with one Fortnite fan asking Epic Games to review the entries before the concerns disappear into the contest’s rearview mirror.

The first issue involves a Bullet Sprite. Its yellow, bullet-shaped character and facial design have been compared to Bullet Kin from Enter the Gungeon. The submitted concept also includes an ammunition-related ability, with ammo boxes granting slightly more ammunition.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not being a sore loser, I love all the winning designs but I want to bring these two potential stealing incidents to light

The Bullet Sprite comparison

The resemblance is easy to spot at a glance, particularly in the character’s rounded bullet body, pointed top, and angry expression. However, a visual similarity alone does not establish that one design was copied from the other, and the circumstances of the entry’s creation and submission remain unconfirmed.

The Dumpster Dive Sprite timeline

The second concern centers on a raccoon-themed sprite called Dumpster Dive Sprite. Xanny Boy reportedly shared a drawing of a raccoon design on June 17. The following day, stinkyprincessgoose posted a raccoon sprite with an ability tied to searching dumpsters on TikTok.

Xanny Boy then posted a 3D mockup on June 20, the same day stinkyprincessgoose shared her entry on Reddit. Both designs use a raccoon and dumpster-related abilities, while other raccoon concepts with similar abilities appeared afterward.

That timing is the main reason the design has drawn attention, but it is not conclusive on its own. Raccoons searching through garbage is a familiar idea, and the person raising the concern also acknowledged that the pairing may have been an obvious concept for multiple artists to reach independently.

The request is framed as a review rather than a demand to punish anyone. The fan says they like the winning designs, including stinkyprincessgoose’s version, and would not object to Epic taking no action without clear proof. The copying allegations remain unconfirmed.
